“Blackjack” – this is the well-known card game ” twenty-one “or ” point”. However, over time, the game was seriously modified. A scientific theory has been developed, the application of which significantly increases the chances of winning. The popularity of the game is due to the theory of probability – for casinos here, winning is not always guaranteed. This distinguishes Blackjack from most other games in gambling houses. Many gamblers know about this, so the interest in the game does not weaken. Certain cards in Blackjack bring a certain number of points, and the main task is to score 21 points or at least get as close as possible to this amount (but in no case score more). It is noteworthy that even colorblind people can easily indulge in this entertainment – the color of the suit does not matter.
Goal of the game
The goal of the blackjack game is to score twenty-one points or the number of points that is as close as possible to this amount, but not more than it. If a player scores more than twenty-one points, he immediately loses. In all other cases, the value of the dealer’s cards is compared with the value of the dealer’s cards and the winner is determined. A ten-point card and an ACE obtained from the hand are called blackjack. This is the only card combination in the game that has a name and it surpasses the power of any other card.
The value of the cards
Cards from two to ten have the same value as their face value. The value of the Jack, Queen and king is equal to ten points. An ACE can give you one or eleven points. This choice is made in favor of the player.
For example, if there is an ACE and a four in the box, it is announced that the player has five or fifteen points. If he gets a six, he will get twenty-one points (in some casinos, in this situation, the game automatically moves to the next box, and in some casinos, eleven or twenty-one is announced and the player makes the choice whether to take another card). However, if he gets a seven, it will be considered that he has twelve points, but not twenty-two.
Number of players
The number of players is limited by the number of boxes (betting fields) on the game table. In the traditional version, there are seven of them. However, this does not mean that players can place joint bets on the same box. The main thing is that their amount does not exceed the maximum amount of bets allowed for this table.
Number of bids
Many casinos do not allow playing on a single box, so the player must place at least two bets. The maximum number of bets per player is determined by each casino, but usually it is limited only by the number of boxes on the table.
Game progress
The dealer carefully shuffles all the decks, separates some of the cards (from the fifth to the third) with a special plastic card and inserts them all into the “Shoe”. During the game, he takes out cards from it one at a time and distributes them to the players and himself. The cards that have left the game are placed in a special bump and remain there until a plastic card comes out of the” Shoe”. The hand during which this happened is declared the last one, and when it ends, all the cards are shuffled again.
Once the cards are ready to play, the dealer invites players to place bets, then stops accepting them and starts distributing cards. In the basic version of the game, he distributes two cards to all players and himself, and opens One of his cards. In our country, a version of the rules has become widespread, according to which the dealer distributes only one open card to himself, and draws the rest for himself after all the players.
If a blackjack is formed on some box, and the dealer’s open card excludes the possibility of the same combination (that is, it is a card from two to nine), he immediately pays for blackjack and takes the cards to the bump. If the dealer has an ACE or a ten-point card open, blackjack is not paid until it is time to compare combinations. If the croupier has an ACE open, according to the rules of some casinos, he offers the player who has blackjack the so-called “equal money”. This means that they immediately pay 1: 1 for blackjack and collect their cards.
Players, assessing the strength of their cards and taking into account the dignity of the dealer’s open card, decide whether to take another card or stop at the amount of points that is already on the box. You can play any number of cards on the box, provided that the total score does not exceed twenty-one.
The card collection takes place strictly in turn. The first box is located to the dealer’s left. After the final decision has been made on all the boxes, the dealer reveals his second card, if necessary, retrieves the cards and compares the resulting combination with the players ‘ cards. The dealer draws his cards strictly according to the rules: he must draw another card if he has sixteen or less points and stop if he has seventeen or more points.
The player has no right to touch their cards, all operations with them are performed by the dealer.
Winning boxes are paid 1: 1, blackjack is paid 3: 2 (in some casinos, blackjack from cards of the same suit is paid 2: 1).
Additional rules
on their boxes, the player is allowed not only to draw cards, but also to use additional features.
- Split – having two cards of the same face value on the box (in some casinos, even the same value, i.e., Queen and king), a player can split them into two boxes by placing another bet of the same size. After that, an additional set of cards will be made for each of the new boxes. If one of the new boxes receives a card of the same denomination, you can split it again. The number of possible splits from one box varies, but usually does not exceed three. When splitting aces, as a rule, only one card is dealt, after which the game moves to the next box. If an ACE comes up again, you can make another split. The ACE and any ten-point card obtained as a result of the split are not considered blackjack and are considered as twenty-one points (this means that they will lose if the dealer has blackjack).
- Double – after receiving the first two cards, the player has the right to make a double. To do this, they must double their initial bid. After that, he is dealt another card on this box and the dealer moves on to the next player or opens his cards.
- Triple-this rule does not apply in all casinos and allows a player to place another bet equal to the original one after a double on the box and get an additional card.
- Surrender – after receiving the first two cards, the player has the right to refuse to continue playing on this box, giving half of the original bet. It should be noted that this rule does not apply in almost all casinos if the dealer has an ACE open. Moreover, it is often canceled if the dealer has a ten-point card open.
- Insurance – if the dealer has an ACE open, he offers players to insure against blackjack. The amount of insurance is equal to half of the initial bet and it is paid in the amount of 2: 1 if the dealer has blackjack.
Variations of the game
There are several types of classic blackjack games available. The main difference is the number of cards that the dealer deals to himself at the beginning of the round. In addition, there are variants of the rules according to which the dealer opens two cards. In General, most casinos reserve the right to make adjustments to such rules as sarrenda, double, split, blackjack payment and some others.
Sometimes there are bonus rules in the form of an additional increased payment of three sevens on one box or some other combinations. On the other hand, rules that are unfavorable for the player may be introduced. For example, limiting the maximum number of cards that are dealt per box.
