The rules of Mini-baccarat are nothing more than simplified rules of American baccarat. The game also includes a deck of fifty-two cards and is dealt by the dealer. On the game table, in front of each player, there are betting fields for the player to win, for the dealer to win and for a draw. The size of the game table is much smaller than in other types of baccarat. All cards that are out of the game are placed in a special bump.
It is worth noting that mini-baccarat differs from other types of this game in its democratic nature, since the betting limits are quite low. The basic rule of mini-baccarat that you need to remember is that you just need to place a bet, all other actions in the game will be performed by the dealer himself, so that even a beginner in the game will not make any special mistakes.
As with all other types of this game, in mini-baccarat, the goal of the game is to guess who will win the player or Mr. stickman or whether there will be a draw. The maximum number of players at the table is determined by seven playing places.
Combinations and the values of the cards
ACE gives the player one point, cards from two to nine – the number of points equal to their face value, tens and “colored cards” do not bring points. If the total score is higher than ten, ten points are deducted from it and the result is taken into account in the game. Because of this, the croupier and the player can never exceed nine points.
Neither the player nor the dealer can get more than three cards. The winner is the one with the total points closer to nine. If the total score is equal, a draw is declared.
The highest amount of points equal to nine. A combination of two cards with a total amount of nine points is called natural and always wins. Eight points on two cards is the second most powerful combination and it is also called natural.
Each of the players at the table can place the following bets::
- To win the croupier (Banco) – 1:1 payout with a deduction of five percent in favor of the casino
- On a player’s victory (Punto) – 1:1 payout
- For a draw, the payoff is 8: 1 (sometimes 9: 1)
Players place bets on a player’s win, dealer’s draw, by placing chips on the corresponding boxes. The dealer deals two cards each to the player and himself. If a player or dealer has one of the natural combinations, he is declared the winner.
The player and dealer receive the third card according to the standard rules for the American version of the game, and after that, the dealer compares their cards and the player’s cards, takes the losing bets and pays the winners.
The best strategy for playing mini-baccarat is a constant bet on the player, with no Commission deducted from the winnings. At the same time, the advantage of the casino over the player will be only 1.37%, which makes this game one of the most profitable in the casino. Betting on a croupier is less profitable, but the differences in the percentage of casino advantages are not so great. You should never bet on a draw, because the percentage of the casino’s advantage on it is more than fourteen percent with an 8:1 payout.
